Hey everyone and thank you for joining Pagan Postings! My name is Candice and I am the creator behind PP and the main administrator. You can call me Candice, RP, Rennie, Ren, or whatever you'd like.
I created this forum for one main purpose: To not leave anyone behind. I have been a member of two Pagan forums before, and I haven't had a great experience with either one of them. Although I am a member of paganforum.com and I have not had anything bad to say about the forum or it's members, I just really didn't feel like I fit in. I was welcomed kindly and with enthusiasm, but that doesn't take away from the fact that, compared to a lot of members of the Pagan community, I'm still essentially considered a noob.
I know that it is hard to feel accepted in this community. Many people here have had bad run-ins with people who are saying that they're a practicing "Pagan" or "Wiccan" but in reality they are just saying that to catch attention. I am by no means an experienced Pagan or witch, and I still have got a lot to learn, just like everyone else. Being on these other forums with older witches and Pagans was great because I got to learn a plethora of wonderful things, but I was sort of scared to speak out because, again, I'm new compared to them.
Pagan Postings is not a place where it's a bad thing to be new. It is also not a place where you will be looked down on for asking questions, no matter how far along you are on your path to finding out who you are. It is a never ending journey to discovery. Pagan Postings is also not just a place for newbies. Obviously, largely practiced members are welcomed with open arms, because how are we to learn from just our new little fresh paths? This forum is for people who are serious about developing in not just their religion, but also their way of life.
This forum is more than just a place to talk about your path. I intended for this little slice of the internet to be an escape from reality where you can share your interests and beliefs with others who share the same views. This is a place to make friends. Now I know that there will be conflict at times, but I have set up a developing set of rules for members to follow so that no one is attacked and everyone has an opportunity to get what they need to say out.
