Hello and welcome to Pagan Postings! This forum was started so that all members of the Pagan/Wiccan/Spiritual/Witchy (and many more titles) community could come together and all feel welcome. Other forums around the internet that are of similar nature seem to be limited to only a few well-practiced members and those who are developing their path are often left in the dust. While we here at Pagan Postings would love for more practiced members to join, we also promise not to shun those who are just beginning their journey. So, without further adieu, here are the simple rules within the community... Signing up for Pagan Postings is your agreement to follow these rules and understand the consequences...
1. Be Nice. Seriously, this isn't a joke. While it is come to be expected that there will be many different opinions and beliefs here at PP, we will absolutely not tolerate any religion shaming/bashing (and we mean ANY), bullying (including, but not limited to, sexism, racism, ageism, or any other isms), or general asshat behavior. You will be temporarily or permanently banned from the website depending on the severity of your actions.
2. Voice your opinions in a respectful way. This ties into the first rule. You are entitled to your own opinion, so don't be afraid to speak up. But remember, there is a difference between speaking up and lashing out.
3A. Don't type like a drunken sailor or a preppy mIDdLe SkOOl GuRL. We'd like to be able to understand you. Try to use proper grammar and spelling to the best of your abilities. This forum will more than likely have a younger audience as well, so please keep profanity to a minimum, or we'll start enforcing the censor and no one wants that.
3B. The Issues and Rants topic is the only thread (as of now) that will allow full use of profanity*. Just don't make posts unnecessarily profane or rude. Use your good judgement.
3C. *Issues and Rants topic is available to those members who have built a small reputation within the community. To be submitted to the board, a member must have a password (acquired by requesting the password from anyone on administration). Passwords are not to be given out by anyone but administration. If you forget the password, PM a moderator. Administration will keep a list of everyone who has the password. Temporary ban-nation is to ensue if this rule is broken. New members will not be able to post in, or read, anything in that subject. This board is Rated R because of language and thematic elements.
4. Do not spam the forum or any members, including the shops or personal websites shared on PP. You will be blocked and executed.
5. Please do not make more than one account. If we find out you have more than one account, all accounts will be deleted.
6. Please make sure you are posting in the proper category when making a new thread. We have many different topics in the forum. If you're not sure which topic your new thread should go under, please make an educated guess, but if you put a thread about Kitchen Witchery, for example, in the "Healthy Lifestyle" category, it will either be moved or deleted.
7. Keep in mind that this site is ran by primarily English speaking moderators. Translate accordingly. We apologize for this inconvenience but we cannot possibly have a moderator for every language. We hope that this does not dissuade you from participating in the forum.
8. Do not argue with the moderators. Administration has placed a few trustworthy people in charge of monitoring the forum and it's members. If, for any reason, a moderator feels the need to ban, block, or delete ANYTHING on the forum, don't throw a fit. We reserve the right to keep our forum the way it was intended to be. If you feel like you are being treated unfairly by a moderator, please PM the Administrator (Aka Me, Renaissance Pagan) and the situation will be handled accordingly. Keep in mind, all moderators contact administration before taking action, so don't try to falsely accuse our moderators.
9. If you take anything from the forum and post it to another website, link back to the forum. Don't be a plagiarizer.
10. If you take anything from the internet and post it to the forum, link back to the original post. Don't be a plagiarizer. Also, we would appreciate links, not entire articles etc., copied and pasted into a post. Make it easy to read.
11. Respect shop owners, bloggers, tweeters, facebookers, etc. Members are allowed to share their other social media websites and Etsy/Ebay shops on PP. Do not use Pagan Postings as a gateway to harass, spam, or otherwise harm anyone's business or blog. (You shouldn't be doing that anyways, but you are definitely not allowed to do it through us.)
12. Members must have a minimum of 3 posts before sending Private Messages (PM). You don't really have a choice on this one because it's a requirement. However, if you need some help posting, you can send PMs to any member of the staff.
13. Keep in mind that Pagan Postings is a new forum. With that being said, administration would like to provide enough topics so everyone will be able to enjoy at least one thing here on the forum. We will hit bumps in the road trying to accommodate all the members, so please have patience. Members are allowed to request Categories or Boards on topics that are not already listed that they have interest in (Maximum requests= 4 boards/month. 2 Categories/ month with a minimum of 3 related board topics). Please remember a request does not guarantee that a board or category will be made.
Please note that Guests (Viewers who are not registered) will only be able to see this thread, and the Introductions thread. Almost all of the topics here are public, but non-members will not be able to access their content. Your conversations here are safe from outside viewers. Some threads may become view-able by the public per request, but until then, only members will know what's on this forum.
All Rules and Regulations are subject to be changed and developed as the forum grows. Moderators do not need to warn or notify members of changes in the rules (although we will always try to notify the forum as a whole if there are changes). Moderator decisions are non-negotiable. Members will be warned once before more serious actions are taken if rules are broken. All we want is nice things for nice people, so it's up to you if you want to be a beneficial part of the community.
