(I forgot to do this before I made a new topic thread for the beginners section oops...also I'm not great at introductions so forgive me if I sound like a dork...and I tend to ramble a bit)
Loree is actually my middle name but I feel more comfortable using it here (a French-ish variation of the word 'laurel', according to my parents, meant to have an accent above the first e), I'm 20 years old and ending my second year of community college. Born and raised in MS, probably the worst state ever, but it's home whether I like it or not. Tentative plans to become a teacher, may not work out since I'm not 100% certain about it, but we'll see.
I was brought up Southern Baptist, went through a 'lost' stage a couple of years ago, but now I've finally found the path I'm supposed to be on. Can't tell you how grateful I am for that; it's really helped me a lot to find my spiritual direction.
I run a couple of blogs on tumblr, my main is mostly fandom stuff, flyingcatfamiliar is my personal/spiritual/feminist/social justice blog, so you'd probably be more interested in it than the other one.
I am pretty new to this; in the past I was only interested, now I'm actively practicing finally. I mostly center around the natural world. I've used crystals subconsciously since I was 14, and I have a strong connection with water. I hope to work with plants soon, I like to gather trimmings and things like that, but I have yet to use them for anything in particular.
As I mentioned in my posted thread, the Goddess guided me to where I am now, and without her I would still be in a very negative state. I've been visited by Bastet, much to my surprise, but I'm very happy about it. I think the Horned God has been watching me for longer than I've even known about him; he scared me at first, but that was before I understood that he is most definitely not the Christian devil I was brought up to be so afraid of; now I'm becoming more relaxed and open towards him, so that's good. The Triple Goddess is a part of it without question or doubt. I've been very intrigued by Hecate and Persephone lately, hoping maybe they'll come into the picture, but I leave it entirely up to them. I'm receptive to any help or guidance in my learning process.
